That Other Meeting

How much of life is passing you by as you sit through the "Scrum-of-Scrums"?

Everyone is familiar with the daily standup meeting. But then there’s the “other meeting”. It’s nearly as common, and it’s… not great.

You usually see it in larger organizations. It goes by many names. The Scrum of Scrums. The Meta Scrum. The ART (Agile Release Train) Sync.

It’s easy to see why it exists. You have 10 different product teams trying to move in lockstep. Trying to figure out how to coordinate dependencies. To ship new features without building a Frankenstein.

But it’s safe to say it’s no one’s favorite meeting. And it often doesn’t accomplish what it intends - teams still end up “shipping the org chart” rather than shipping a cohesive and beautiful product.

Steady is on a mission to fix this. If not by eliminating these meetings entirely, then at least by making them tolerable and effective.

We believe you can keep teams aligned through smaller, higher frequency, automated loops. And by doing so, everyone that needs to can have complete context.

The result: fewer and more effective meetings, and more time creating great software.
