We’ve been hard at work building a Steady desktop app for Mac and Windows, and it’s available right now. Read on to learn more.
💻 Steady desktop for Mac & Windows
Steady is a daily driver for most of our customers (and ourselves), and there’s simply nothing better than a desktop app for tool that you use every single day. So we built one. Steady desktop works on Mac and PC, and does everything Steady does on the web, with some extra niceties:
- Native notifications - Native notifications means you don’t have to rely on Slack/Teams/email to stay up to speed on what’s going on in Steady.
- App icon badge counts for action items - No more closing a Steady tab and forgetting you’re due for an update.
- Expanded shortcuts - Quickly jump to all the main areas of the app.
Ready to give it a try? Download Steady desktop.
🪣 Bitbucket integration enhancements
We’ve expanded our integration for Bitbucket to include Pull Requests and PR review activity. And like with our integrations for GitHub, Gitlab, and Azure DevOps, Bitbucket PR activity is now available within Echoes, opening up all sorts of extremely useful reports that make it easier than ever to stay up to speed on what’s going on.
🐞 Bug fixes and performance improvements
We shipped a variety of bug fixes, performance improvements, and quality of life updates over the past few weeks. Highlights:
- Multi-selects for picking teams/people/etc now include bulk select/deselect controls.
- Steady does a better job of warning you when you’re checking in across private and open teams.
- We’ve made significant improvements to our AI infrastructure, increasing security, reliability, and performance.
- You can edit an Echo from an answer’s overflow menu now.
- Echoes got an extra bit of polish to better separate active Echoes from presets.
