Fall is in the air, pumpkin spice is ready to be deployed At Scale™, and the Steady team is shipping. Read on for details about read receipts, Steady’s refreshed UI, and our brand new docs site with brand new guides.

🧾 Read receipts

Two things are true:

  1. If you feel like no one is reading your updates you won’t keep writing them.
  2. It’s important to know if folks read an important update or not so you can follow up.

To address both problems, we just rolled out read receipts. They live right next to comments on check-ins and goal updates, and show who read the entry and when they last read it. No more guessing; now you know.

💅 UI refresh

The dev team is hard at work on a new major feature we’re calling Echoes, and while the devs are away, designers shall play. We just launched a UI refresh that’s cleaner, more consistent, and more content-focused. We also completely overhauled iconography in the app, and applied a liberal amount of polish everywhere. We hope you like it.

Note that this is a visual refresh; everything works the same, nothing moved.

📚 New docs & guides

Last week we moved off of our Intercom-powered docs site that was “OK” to a new, custom docs site that we built from scratch.

It works better, it looks better, and it’s got a whole new set of guides tailored to different roles. So whether you’re a contributor, manager, or leader, we’ve got a guide dedicated to showing you exactly how to make the most out of Steady.

🗞️ What else is happening?

Thanks for reading.
